As General Counsel and General Manager of McGuire Real Estate, Abbie holds more than a decade of real estate experience from many facets of the industry. Her extensive, and equally impressive, background ranges from her roles as: Head Broker, Sales Leader and Manager, Director of Business Development, Top Producing Sales Associate, as well as a Prosecutor/Criminal Trial Attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.

Abbie began her real estate career in 2000 as the Director of Business Development at ZipRealty, where she developed partnerships focused on lead generation for the brokerage and its agents. It was there that Abbie gained deep insight into what consumers want by way of real estate information, and need by way of agent representation when buying or selling a home.

Abbie put theory into practice when she obtained her Real Estate Broker’s License in 2002 and began selling real estate on the Peninsula. In only two years, she earned her designation as Top Producer in 2004. Abbie has continued to represent buyers and sellers ever since—with a particular focus and expertise in the areas of Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and surrounding communities.

In 2006, Abbie took the reins as Head Broker overseeing ZipRealty’s brokers and real estate transactions in 42 markets across the U.S. As Head Broker, Abbie was responsible for real estate compliance, agent development, and transaction oversight. She also served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of REALTORS® from 2010–2011.

Abbie launched the California Division of 8z Real Estate, a Colorado-based brokerage which found rapid success based upon its dedicated agent service with deep local market expertise, in 2012. As the Sales Leader and Manager of its California Division, she led herself and her team to success through a combination of expert market knowledge, outstanding service, and a commitment to integrity throughout the entire transactional process.

Abbie’s expertise in client representation, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and an understanding of the law was built while serving as Prosecutor/Criminal Trial Attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office from 1992–2000. Serving under District Attorney, John Meehan and District Attorney, Tom Orloff, Abbie was responsible for prosecuting cases that ranged from narcotics, assault, robbery, and homicide. During her time there she conducted numerous preliminary hearings, law and motion matters, and managed the Hayward Superior Courthouse Misdemeanor Trial Team.

Outside of real estate, Abbie most enjoys cheering on her sons at their baseball and basketball games, taking her beloved Golden Doodle on long walks, reading and traveling.

Where to begin? Abbie is smart, savvy, personable, professional, dedicated, driven to success, and an absolute pleasure to work with as an agent. I absolutely and without hesitation recommend her to anyone looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, and flexible approach to home buying on the Peninsula. You will not be disappointed with her service, her smarts, and her absolute focus in her job.

Abbie is the consummate professional. She represented us in our purchase of a Peninsula condominium this past spring. In a highly competitive bid process, Abbie maneuvered us into the lead position and we secured the home. Throughout the process she kept us well informed of what was going on and what to expect next. I would absolutely recommend Abbie to anyone that needs help buying or selling a home.

Abbie was our agent when we sold and bought a house in Burlingame, CA. I have to admit that the process of selling and purchasing is not the most pleasurable experience but Abbie made it bearable for us. I always felt like Abbie had our backs, providing guidance throughout the whole process and negotiating with the sellers to get us a deal we were comfortable with. We've dealt with other agents in the past and Abbie stands out as being very business-oriented and professional. It also helped that she was a lawyer and was able to answer all our questions with the mountain of paperwork involved. I felt very confident that Abbie was handling our sale and purchase with the appropriate amount of attention to detail (that we don't have). If we ever decide to sell our current house we will definitely use Abbie again.

Full disclosure; I haven't asked her to help us buy or sell a house. But she did help us out with a comparative market analysis on our property at the beginning of our refinance. She explained her process while giving us a mini lesson on how and why the market ebbs and flows. Calmly and politely, she gave us her thoughts. Very helpful. That was months ago. Since she's been checking in on us periodically, and sending us monthly emails on the state of the RE market. They're informative and not written as if for RE professionals. So nice! As an aside, we are relatively new to the area, and have a new baby. She was kind enough to recommend a couple of good daycares, and didn't even blink when we asked her! In a nutshell, Abbie is just a great, kind lady. She's the sort of person you'd want in your corner whether or not you're in the housing market.

Abbie is a fabulous realtor. She helped my wife and me sell our home in Burlingame and made the whole process smooth and stress free. She was extremely professional but also personable and gave us excellent advice regarding how to price the sale of our home. When she told us what our home was worth, we were excited but weren't sure we could believe it. Abbie got us multiple offers the first week our house was on the market and a selling price we were ecstatic about. Abbie is knowledgeable not just about the real estate process. What made us feel she was the right realtor for us was based on her experience and knowledge of the local community: the schools, neighborhoods, and communities that helped her find the perfect buyer for our home. I would highly recommend Abbie to anyone who's looking to buy or sell a home in Burlingame or along the Peninsula.

Abbie is great with clients and clearly understands the nuances of the Bay Area real estate market. Her bedside manner is confident-yet-reassuring and her rich experience allows Abbie to squarely focus her energy on impactful themes and trends without getting lost in the noise of market statistics. We loved working with Abbie!
