Originally from New York City, Joe Durso is a longtime San Francisco business owner and resident of South of Market. Joe’s professional career, spanning over 20 years, ranges from mortgage loan underwriting, business credit analysis, real estate investment and private banking. In conjunction with real estate, development and investment sales, Joe is the founder of a successful cafe which has been operating in the SOMA/South Park/Mission Bay for over nine years.
Intricately involved in the development and growth of the SOMA neighborhood, Joe is the founder of the Grace/Washburn Neighborhood Association in SOMA/Civic Center and is actively involved in many business associations.
Joe is a tenacious professional with savvy negotiation and entrepreneurial skills and provides exceptional customer service. His real estate experience and interests lie throughout San Francisco, especially the neighborhoods of Ashbury Heights, Corona Heights, Noe Valley, Civic Center, Mission, Mission Dolores, South of Market - SOMA, Dogpatch, Mission Bay and South Park.
In addition, Joe worked as a real estate professional in the North Bay Area with an emphasis on Marin, Sonoma and Napa Valley. During this time, he spent weekends at his summer property in Sebastopol where he developed a keen sense of the intricacies in development and maintaining country properties.
Joe Durso is graduate of Florida Atlantic University and moved to California in 1992. After a stint in Los Angeles where he started a successful interior design business, Joe relocated to San Francisco in 1995.
