I have known Roger for about 15 years and worked with him to purchase and then sell my first home in San Francisco. I cannot recommend him highly enough if you want to buy or sell a home. There are several aspects about Roger's approach that make him one of the best "client-focused" agents in the San Francisco Bay Area. First, Roger is extremely knowledgeable about San Francisco real estate and has a no-pressure attitude. I was Roger’s client for several years before I was ready to purchase based on my own circumstances and needs. I really appreciated Roger’s patience and candid attitude (which was especially helpful early in the process and helped me avoid some early pitfalls). Roger was always willing to check out a new listing on my behalf, which was especially helpful because I was not able to leave work during the week. He is very skilled at spotting places with underappreciated value. I would have been lost without this perspective. I also currently meet with Roger about twice a year and receive updates on San Francisco real estate developments – Roger is certainly invested in the long-term financial health of his clients (regardless of whether they are currently in the market or not). Second, Roger’s attention to detail is unparalleled. He proactively managed each step in each transaction (again both purchase and sale) and updated on each development. Roger worried about every detail for me, handled things professionally and proactively when things went wrong (i.e., the seller and seller’s agent were less than 100% responsive on certain issues), and aggressively protected my interests while at the same time “getting the deal done”. I am a transactional attorney and was very impressed with how Roger managed each transaction from start to finish (and greatly reduced my stress). Third, Roger has outstanding contacts throughout the real estate industry that helped me immensely. I cannot say enough about the quality of services I received through Roger’s contacts and referrals. Roger helped me identify loan specialists, inspectors, movers, stagers, painters and contractors. When I sold my house, Roger helped hired painters and a general contractor who helped to complete many projects (including the retiling of an old fireplace, among other items). All the work was done with a high degree of professionalism and allowed me to sell my place for top dollar. Roger is a sincere person who is one of the best real estate agents in the San Francisco Bay Area. His focus is 100% on the client. I was extremely happy with the purchase of my new home – which I sold several years later at a high premium. I wholeheartedly recommend him to others for the purchase or sale of property in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My wife and I would like to express our gratitude to Roger Landry. Roger did an excellent job in advising us, listing and successfully selling our property in Russian Hill. From beginning to end in the entire process of selling our property, we could not have asked for a more diligent, thoughtful and savvy individual to guide us. Not only did Roger complete this process in a very difficult time seasonally (right before Christmas) but he did so in much less time (and with very little disruption to our family) than we had anticipated. Moreover, Roger's sound strategic advice resulted in multiple offers and a selling price 20% above list.
Not only was Roger our listing agent, but also our history working together goes back 5 years when he was our buying agent. His patience and hard work in the buying process lasted nearly a year. The result was a beautiful home (that we loved but unfortunately outgrew) purchased at a very reasonable price relative to the then frenzied market environment. Over those 5 years, thanks to Roger's tremendous help, we gained 60% in market value.
– Roger and Suzanne Miller
Roger has been our agent on two home purchases and one home sale in San Francisco. From the moment we started working with him in 2003 Roger has been an easy choice for all of our real estate transactions and all of our questions and needs in-between. On the buy side, Roger reads the dynamics of the deal and has an uncanny knack for developing relationships with the selling broker to get the deal done. On the sell side, Roger is an all-in-one maestro who marshals his extensive network of cleaners, painters, stagers, inspectors, and contractors to maximize marketability and ultimately price. On our home sale, we received multiple offers and in the end received 15% over our asking price. We are very lucky to count Roger as our real estate agent. They say you make your own luck, and if you want to make your own luck in San Francisco real estate, hire Roger.
Roger: Great Job As Always! Thank You.

My wife and I have purchased and sold several homes as we've moved up and down the west coast over the past twenty or so years. We have worked with a few different agents during that time. This market being what it is, when we finally decided to buy in San Francisco our friends warned us that it would be frustrating, and it certainly was, but Roger Landry gave us perspective and with his guidance, advice and help we found exactly what we were looking for. Roger is easily the most attentive agent with which we have worked. He answers his phone; works proactively, does his homework and openly discusses strategy. He maintains a list of reliable contractors and inspectors who respond on short notice and do quality work. You can do a lot worse but, I can't imagine doing any better than picking Roger Landry to help you buy or sell your home.
– Michael and Jeanine Hawk
It is our pleasure to commend Mr. Roger Landry for his professionalism and truly outstanding service. Roger served as our realtor at the most difficult of times – our agent was out of town, we had been outbid seven consecutive times, and our home search was becoming desperate. Roger stepped in and immediately grasped our situation. Demonstrating his keen intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills, Roger quickly gained our confidence as he kept us focused and calm. Armed with impressive real estate expertise, know-how, and savvy, Roger never failed to expertly guide us into making timely and sound decisions. The result: we weren’t outbid again, and we now own our dream home. We wholeheartedly recommend Roger Landry as an outstanding realtor who exceeds his clients’ expectations.

Roger was there every step of the way in selling our duplex in San Francisco especially since we no longer live in the area. He took care of every, and I mean every, detail for us. This was also a Trust sale with tenants still living in one of the units, so it was a slightly more complicated sale. Roger knocked it out of the park. He got all the reports and disclosures together. He helped us get our property cleaned up and in ready to show and sell condition. His marketing was top notch. Roger was an invaluable source in educating and advising us to make all the right moves plus he is very friendly and easy to work. After two weeks on the market we sold our property for 19% above asking price. Thank you so much Roger, you're the best.
I would absolutely recommend him to anyone interested in selling their property.

Trying to buy a house in San Francisco is an extremely painful process these days. My husband and I had been going through this emotional experience which involved let down after let down and we were feeling like maybe it was just time to give up....
Enter Roger Landry.
We met Roger when we went to see a house that he had listed for sale, that we were interested in buying. From the first meeting my husband and I walked away saying, "I really like that guy." There was just something about him that made us feel really comfortable. After that initial meeting we decided that we wanted to work with him.
We did not end up getting the house mentioned above but in November, finally caught a break, found a property, and opened escrow.
Roger was AMAZING throughout the entire process!!!
Reliable- He was constantly checking in, returning calls, emails, texts etc
Educated- Any questions we had, he knew the answers.
Professional- He was careful and considerate in regards to all of our requests and questions.
Dialed in- His contacts are individuals who have been in the business for years. We used and were very pleased with everyone from his recommended Real Estate Attorney, Inspectors, and his Mortgage Banker.
Reassuring- He just has a "way" about him. Calm and Cool. When we got nervous about something, he was the voice of reason. With Roger, we just felt like everything was going to be "ok".
Needless to say, we closed on Friday and are now San Francisco home owners.
From start to finish, the experience we had with Roger was flawless.
– Eric and Kristen Price
What can we say but working with Roger has been a great experience, we just completed selling our place and he made a very complex transaction (helping with all elements from staging, negotiating a great price and staying on top of a lot of moving parts) simple and pain-free. His experience when we ran into some tricky stuff, like a difficult counter-party and San Francisco’s lifetime lease issues, helped steer us through to a closed transaction. We will do business with him again and are pleased to join his endorsers!
– Anne Leonard & John Statton
We stumbled upon Roger at an open house a little over five years ago with our, then, six month-old. Several visits to open houses and a few months later, we were in our dream house. With Roger's help we bought our house at an amazing price. He told us that it was a great "starter home" and we replied with, "What? We are staying here forever!"
Another child and four years and 364 days later, we were moving out of our dream house to another dream home in a different state. We were unable to be present for repairs, staging, and the final stages of emptying our home. Luckily, Roger was our realtor again and took care of EVERYTHING. He managed the painters (our boys wrote on the walls), handyman (my husband installed crazy "art"), landscapers (we did very little with our yard until the sale), and the stagers. It's hard enough leaving the life you built, never mind preparing to leave the house you built your life in, but we did and we left California knowing that our beautiful home would be in good hands. Roger, again, exceeded our expectations with his knowledge, expertise, and toughness. We, again, got the very best price for our house, which is now a beautiful home for another family.
Don't have any doubts with Roger, he gets the job done professionally, warmly, and brilliantly.
Thanks for everything, Roger! :)

I am writing in reference to our recent home purchase. While the process of finding a new home can be long and at times frustrating, there was one advantage that we had in our corner, the help of an excellent realtor in Roger Landry. Roger was the fifth realtor we used in our home search.
Besides being a genuinely great guy, there were many reasons why Roger was the realtor we decided to use. For starters, he worked hard. While other realtors told us inventory was low or only showed us their own listings, Roger was consistently finding and visiting homes in order to make recommendations. Also, Roger listened to what we wanted. Other realtors continued to show is property types that we had ruled out. With Roger we felt that each property he recommended was a little closer to what we wanted. As our needs and priorities changed, so did the recommendations Roger put forward. He did not waste my time recommending properties that he knew we would not like in the “hope” that we might settle on one of them.
Additionally, Roger was accessible. He either answered the phone or was prompt at returning calls. This was important, as the fast pace of the San Francisco real estate market often demands conversations to happen quickly. Furthermore, Roger had excellent follow-through. He obtained information we requested and provided regular updates on properties we were considering.
All of these points I mentioned were key but perhaps the most important element Roger provided was the sincere feeling we had that Roger was looking out for us first and a sale second. After leaving another property that was not quite right, I felt the need to apologize to Roger for being so picky. He told us that this was an important decision and that we would need to be “wowed” by the home. If it meant seeing a hundred more places, then so be it. That meant a lot. Roger never pushed and wanted to be sure we really wanted the property. Finally, we visited a home that “wowed” us. We knew this was the perfect place for us. We told Roger we want it and he went to work on it. The property had multiple interested buyers but Roger maneuvered us through the process and helped us secure the sale. Even after the offer was accepted, he was with us each step of the way and clearly explained what was happening so that we were comfortable. He even put me in touch with a good Mortgage Broker.
If you are considering the purchase of a property in San Francisco there is no better realtor than Roger Landry. Believe me, I’ve looked.
– Al & Sara Engelman
We went through three agents in two years before we found Roger. Roger was the first agent that had the patience, perseverance and creativity to work with us and get a deal done. He understands the challenges for buyers in the San Francisco real estate market better than any agent we met, and knows how to get the deal over the goal line.
– Rick, Jan and Dennis
I came in contact with Roger Landry through a referral from a friend of mine, which is essentially the greatest compliment of character, professionalism, and expertise that can be offered. I in turn would recommend Roger to anyone without hesitation.
He was in contact with me and available to me constantly. As a first-time home buyer I needed a lot of coaching for the logistical process of buying real estate and for understanding the unique nature of the San Francisco market. Roger was extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly to me, he was extremely patient. With his assistance I entered into a newly formed TIC deal in which he represented 2 of the 4 parties. His sense of fairness was admirable. Not only did he maintain my best interest to ensure I was comfortable with my purchase and new partners, but he made sure all 4 parties’ needs were met. He was savvy enough to understand that the deal has to work for the group as well as for the individual.
I think the most invaluable service he provided was with his understanding what I needed in a home. There were times when he actually moved me away from property that I thought was interesting, because he knew that it was not right for my life style or my personal safety – he knew that ultimately it would not be a sound purchase. He in turn offered up options that I may not have considered otherwise, which allowed me to look at a bigger picture of what I really wanted and what was realistic for me.
I am very happy in my new home. In fact, 6 months later I am surprised at how happy I still am with my purchase. It was truly exactly what I wanted and I don’t think I would have found this building or this TIC deal without Roger! Thank you for everything, Roger!
– Kris Tenhunfeld.
Roger is a real estate agent who's on the ball. He provided us with an outstanding level of service making our home purchase experience truly a great one."
– Jason and Keri Smith
Roger is not just a great real-estate agent he is a great business Thought partner. His knowledge, diligence and work ethic create a level of Service, which is truly amazing.
– Josh Sommer
If anyone needs a referral for a great realtor in SF, let me recommend Roger Landry. I went through 3 other agents in SF (2 of which were so absent-minded and belonged in Used Car Sales), before I was referred to Roger. This was my first house I bought in California and the "game" is different than any other animal. Roger is good in number of areas:
1. He is honest- he won't let you bid outside your means
2. He is smart- numerous times I had questions about a property and he has so much experience in this city, he explains things clearly, or gets the answers
3. He is a great business guy- in dealing with the "listing agents", he comes off so genuine, you can tell they are not pessimistic of him
Getting a house in SF is definitely a learning process. I thought I knew what I was doing and then Roger "fine-tuned" my strategy. He's one of those people you wish you could be more like. But unfortunately, you just got to be born that way. Working with "Colombo" was one of the most enjoyable experiences and that's half the battle in fighting the Real Estate Market here in SF. This guy knows what he's doing, he's diligent, and he is PATIENT. Give him a shot. You won't be disappointed.
– Matt Chang
To sum it up in one line- we wouldn't be homeowners without Roger as our guy. He was referred by a coworker, and came with glowing reviews. Roger is a guy you simply love working with- attentive, fast-moving, great communicator, reliable and optimistic while also being realistic;). Roger actually found us a property off market that we would have NEVER found on our own, and cleanly/swiftly managed the entire process of the negotiation/close/aftermath. We truly couldn't have been happier working with Roger- hands down a great bet;)
– Steve and Kara
Roger hung in with us (very particular folks) for over a year and provided
us with very good advice and pep talks along the way. When we finally found
our house, Roger came through by negotiating with the sellers and by
referring us to an alternate mortgage broker to hasten the financing. He suggested some contract strategy that helped us win our bid in a very competitive situation. Thanks Roger, you will always be our real estate agent.
– Glenn and Pat Kistner
When we first met Roger at an open house he was hosting, we were very impressed with his honesty and strong character. Even though we could have stretched to buy the place, much to our surprise, he actually advised us NOT to buy! He was more interested in finding us a place ideally suited to our needs - even if this meant not making a sale any time in the near future. After that meeting we spoke at length about how different he seemed from the other "hard sell" - and pretty un hip(!) - Realtors we'd met. Months later, when we were better prepared to buy, we called Roger right away.
We bought a TIC, so the process was fairly complicated. Luckily, Roger had lots of knowledge about TICs already, had plenty of resources for us to call on, and was zealous about learning as much as he could about the current laws and regulations governing these real estate oddities. Lots of other realtors couldn't be bothered to sell TICs at all, let alone come to all our legal meetings with us! And Roger always brought to these meetings a particularly cogent question or two to ask on our behalf. He really helped demystify the process. We were also impressed that he was always available to answer our many questions.
At one point, we got sort of discouraged and decided to pull out of the deal because it all seemed kind of scary. But Roger, thankfully, was a rock. He got us over the initial jitters and we ended up with one of the most fantastic deals available today. We have a beautifully renovated Edwardian flat with two fireplaces, new electrical and plumbing, new foundation, new paint, gorgeous floors, new appliances and so much more - all for under $400K! Thank goodness he was there to tell us - in his very charming way - that we would be nuts to pass this up! Now, we have a great place and couldn't be happier. And if we ever have the cash to buy a whole house, Roger will be the first person we call to help us with our next purchase
– Laurie and Paul Meredith
Roger Landry was extremely helpful in finding and securing a property for me. He followed up on my initial contact, made it easy for me to get great information on properties through his web site, was resourceful in helping me secure financing and led me through each phase of home purchasing. As a first time homeowner, I was easily intimidated by the process and his reassurance helped me to feel confident about the purchase. If I should ever be in the housing market again I would not hesitate to turn to Roger as my broker.
– Joe Costa
We had a wonderful experience working with Roger Landry as our realtor. He was extremely attentive to our needs as first time buyers, was helpful in explaining how San Francisco real estate worked and was extremely thorough in searching for places. He expended a lot of time on our behalf and told us honestly and unbiased what his opinion of each place we went to see. He even steered us away from places we liked, but he didn't think were a good value. I appreciated this honesty because as a salesperson you want to sell a place, but Roger is not a salesperson, he wanted to get us the right house for us, even if that meant passing on other places. He spent about 8 months with us and we finally got the perfect condo! We were in competition with other offers on our place and Roger did a great job of strategizing and negotiating our purchase. I would highly recommend using Roger Landry as a real estate agent.
– Lauren Becker and Eric Frazier
Thanks So Much!
I’ve frequently told my friends that I would always work with you because you “sweated blood” for both the purchase and the sale of my TIC unit. I have never seen someone work so hard yet maintain such a cool and positive attitude. It was a pleasure to work with you and I would highly recommend you to anybody in need of a realtor.
– Matilda Mengis
Roger was referred to us by a friend who just bought a house and was impressed with his service, knowledge and experience. Originally we were looking into buying the building we were living in. Roger pointed out that it might not be a great value given a required owner move-in eviction and the difficulty of condo-converting a 4-unit building. We initially did some searching for a more suitable building on our own, without finding much. When we worked with Roger he was great at showing us what he thought were attractive properties while helping to rule out others .We found a property we liked but it had an offer on the table. Roger suggested we take a back-up position (waiting in line to see if the first offer would go through). A small door opened during the negotiation process and we jumped in and secured our offer. He has confident negotiating skills and a savvy business sense. He knows his real estate law, helped us feel secure. Roger did an impressive job of educating us and taking us through the transaction and assured us we were getting a good value. We closed our transaction. After moving in Roger has been in consistent contact to make sure everything is O.K. We definitely know he's still here for us. We would refer Roger without hesitation and will use him if and when we decide to sell our two units building in the future. Even more important to us, Roger was just a fun and pleasant person to spend time with, especially during the stress of such a significant transaction
– Jon and Rik
I hope all is well. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to formally thank you for all your help. I don’t know what Al and I would have done had it not been for your persistence and eagerness to all ways be there.
Roger, before I met you I had three real estate agents. None of them could deal with the fact that we wanted the house we wanted and not the house they wanted us to buy. For 2 years you stuck by our side. We looked at so many houses in the East Bay, Daly City and San Francisco. You never gave up on us or insisted we buy a house we were wavering about. You gave us all the facts and let us make our own decision. You looked out for our best interests and never made us feel like we were a bother, even though sometimes we, I, had to be. Finally we found something we really liked, made an offer and got the house
Your support and guidance through that process was priceless.
Roger we are forever grateful for your honesty, patience and sincerity. Thank you so much, we will not hesitate to recommend you to all our friends and family. Keep in touch you’re first on the house warming list.
– Denise and Alvester
We cannot believe that we’ve been in our home for eighteen months now. As we think about our year’s past, and how Hunter is growing into a toddler, we realize how happy we are in our home. We are especially grateful for your assistance and partnership in making home ownership a possibility for us.
There are several things you did to ensure that we would be happy in our home. The location is fabulous. We are in a neighborhood that we feel comfortable in, is centrally located to our jobs and to the commercial neighborhoods in which we like to shop and eat. After spending time and getting to know us, you made sure we found a location that would fit our needs. Thank you for steering us away from those neighborhoods we would not be so happy with.
You also made sure we felt comfortable with the price and size of our apartment. It’s nice to know your real estate agent wants you to be financially comfortable with your purchase, rather than extend your credit to make a better deal for the seller.. Your constant communication and your willingness to negotiate for a fair price, assured us that you were definitely on our side.
As you know, at first we were weary of a TIC purchase. Now we are pleased with our purchase and are happy to be in a partnership with three very fine parties, of whom you introduced us to. Once again you made sure the partnership was honest, open and fair. Purchasing a TIC allowed us to live in a great building and to be very friendly with our neighbors, altogether making us feel comfortable, safe and happy in our home. For all of this we have to you to thank.
– Darlene, Kevin and Hunter Klosty
I just want to thank you once more for all your hard work and support around the sale of my TIC. You made things go smoothly even during some of the most challenging times with the buyer and realtor.
You are a great communicator and a strong motivator. Thanks for all your care and positive energy. I wish you much success and come see me if you’re ever in Austin.
– Sue Gallego
Over the past several months, I have worked with Roger on a recent real estate transaction and we’re very impressed with his attention to detail, follow up, and high integrity throughout the process.
We have grown to consider Roger a trusted advisor, and would recommend him highly.
He has a deep knowledge and understanding of the Real Estate Market in San Francisco.
– Alex D’anna and Peri Kabbani
Roger is the best realtor! He worked the sellers pretty hard and got us a deal on our house. He knows everything about this business and we were so lucky to have him on our side! Buying a house in SF is a challenge and we couldn't have gotten this house without him! Thank you Roger!!!!
– Keely, Joe & baby Benjamin
My wife and I are very happy to refer Mr. Roger Landry for his professionalism and excellent service. We did contact Roger about 1.5 year ago with the goal to purchase a 4 bdr home in San Francisco. We were not in a rush and were just exploring the market. Roger did a very good job to help us focus on 1 or 2 areas of the city given our expectations. Roger educated us about the market in San Francisco (coming from the Peninsula) and with his guidance, advice and help we decided to focus our search in Noe Valley. We did come up a few weekends for open houses and even made an offer (out-bided) about 6 months in our search. We finally managed to buy what we wanted 2 months ago after a lengthy negotiation process. From beginning to end in the entire process, Roger has been very patient and provided guidance where needed without pushing for any price point or timeline. Roger is very diligent, thoughtful and openly discusses strategy. We also very much appreciated his responsiveness and hard-work. Rogers always answers his phone or he would call you back very quickly even from vacation.
Lastly, even after the offer was accepted, Roger was with us each step of the way and clearly explained what was happening so that we were comfortable. Roger is a great realtor with in-depth knowledge of the San Francisco market. We highly recommend him.
– Christophe and Diane Suchet
Roger was an exceptional real-estate agent. Not officious by any means -- very honest, trustworthy, and attentive to your needs. I was looking for an apt to buy for 2 years. Roger was very patient as my needs fluctuated and when I finally found the perfect place, Roger was very reliable as an agent, and intermediary between us, the banks and the developers. He followed up with me many times even when I moved in to make sure I was happy.
A++++ is my recommendation.
– Nisha Singh
One of the first things Roger told me was that he plans to be in real estate for a long time, meaning there was no pressure to buy right away. He stuck it out for 3 years while I wished and washed, and when I finally did buy a house he made a difficult and lengthy process very easy.
I really cannot say enough good things about him. He was a pleasure to work with, and would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in any kind of real estate.
– Brook Braunschweig
We are all unpacked and very happy with our new house!
Here is a little testimonial you can use, do you have a YELP page?
We first met Roger Landry to look at a house in Bay view - the only area in San Francisco that we thought we could afford, from that time until May 20th when we first saw our lovely new home in Oakland, he literally bent over backwards to help us become homeowners. Not only did he make himself available to look at probably 30 houses all over the place, but he steered us away from bad decisions and educated us in great detail on all the complex intricacies of buying a property.
This guy loves what he does and also loves to help underdogs like us, he is the most down-to-earth amenable salesperson we have ever met, you cannot go wrong with this guy - we love him!!
– Christopher and Samantha
As first time home buyers, we had no idea how complex the process of buying a home could be. We actually thought we were handing Roger an easy transaction because we'd already selected the home we wanted to make an offer on (the only property our family looked at in person) and we knew how much we were willing to offer. That was the simple part. Our offer was accepted almost immediately and we thought we were homeowners! Not so fast.... apparently, unbeknownst to us, home buying can be a lengthy and drawn out process with lots of wrinkles along the way especially if it is a bank owned property. Roger guided and reassured us when the bank appeared to be playing games with our loan application and demanding completely unreasonable documentation to get our financing approved (this transaction was Fall 2010). He knew the right people to consult with when we had some questions about inspections or an easement access to our property. He understood how the process works and he provided calm (necessary because we were not so calm at times!) advice on how to get everything resolved and completed. His experience was reassuring, and ultimately we are now happy homeowners!
– The Brandt family
My husband and I have bought and sold a lot of property over the years and I have to say this last real estate purchase in San Francisco was orchestrated and managed with incredible expertise, professionalism and calm by our realtor, Roger Landry. We were so fortunate to have met him during our search for our dream property in San Francisco. He guided, informed and educated us for well over a year before we landed our premier piece of real estate. We can't thank him enough for his time, patience and the wealth of information that he provided throughout the year. Roger is a true find and I'm sure our family will be asking for his help for future investments in the years to come.
– John and Theresa Hessler
We were looking for a house and were very tired of not getting the right house or dealing with realtor's who were not understanding what we needed and not following up properly.
Then we met Roger and we found our beautiful house in just 2 months, what we had always dreamed about. He helped us in a very relaxed manner not trying to rush into a decision like other agents did (which I appreciate the most)
He is a very honest, understanding (exactly what we need) and not in a rush and guided us through various trouble situations once the offer was accepted, this was very important to us as first time home buyers.
I would definitely recommend Roger for his work ethics, commitment, very friendly nature and guidance he gave us throughout the process.
we never felt the pressure; he helped us through it in a gentle way.
– Anish and Thushara
Roger helped me purchase my 3 bedroom 2 bathroom condo in Alamo Square in 2003. When I was ready to sell in 2012, he was the only real estate agent I would even consider working with.
As I was living outside the country at the time of the sale and the house is owned between my father and I – and he resides in Texas – I was very stressed out about trying to sell my condo without being there in person. But Roger took care of EVERYTHING.
After having it rented out for a few years, the condo needed some work. It needed to be completely repainted and Roger got quotes from multiple painters to propose to me. He negotiated prices down. The entire place needed to carpets, so he triple bid that job with various vendors and I could pick the carpet colors online. Roger oversaw all the work, let the workers in and made sure everything was done to perfection. He even went down to the Best Buy and bought a new microwave to have installed. In every way Roger went above and beyond the call of duty. He advised me of my options at every stage and we would weigh the pros and cons about return on investment for such things like a staging company.
Since getting signatures on paperwork also posed as a potential issue between my father in Texas and me in Europe, Roger set up a Docusign system where we could sign documents instantaneously on-line. I don’t know what we would have done if we weren’t able to easily and effortlessly do this. It was such a fantastic idea from Roger and made the whole process much smoother.
Roger did an amazing job of marketing the property through MLS and various websites. He even put together an incredible website just for my property with its own URL! It was done with a classic style design and the photographer Roger hired took fantastic pictures of the property. When I saw it all up on the internet I had to really think twice about selling it because I wanted to live there it looked so incredible!
Roger took every opportunity to hold multiple open houses and broker tours which resulted in me selling the condo with just 12 days on the market. Even all the negotiations with the buyer about sale price, inspections, any other closing issues all just went extremely smoothly thanks to Roger and his ability to take care of everything and get everything done in a very timely manner and being able to liaise with the buyer’s real estate agent.
We closed on time and it was all absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better real estate agent. So many things could have gone wrong since I don’t live in SF anymore, it could have been extremely stressful transaction, but it just wasn’t. Because of Roger it couldn’t have been a better experience. If you plan on buying or selling use Roger you won’t be disappointed.”
– Lauren Becker
My husband and I worked with Roger last year to find an apartment in San Francisco.
He identified the condo we ultimately ended up buying, and we are very happy there.
We were pleasantly surprised when Roger gently talked us out of buying something that was a stretch for us. What a refreshing twist after dealing with sales folks who just want to "make a quick buck." We were ready to sign on the dotted line, and he asked us to reconsider for the sake of our retirement! Wow.
In my opinion, Roger's best assets are patience, honesty, integrity, and thoughtfulness. (You can't get those from a real estate exam!)

I have known Roger now for about 10 years and worked with him intensely over the last three months to purchase my first home in San Francisco. I cannot imagine having a better experience with a real estate agent in San Francisco.
Roger had a no-pressure attitude and stayed in contact with me for several years while I casually (i.e., saved enough money) considered purchasing a property. He promptly provided me with information I requested and let me, on my own time, arrive at a purchase decision based on my individual circumstances and needs.
When I started to look at places more seriously, Roger's favorite line began with, "You can look at that place because you're going to live there, not me..."
I really appreciated this candid attitude which was especially helpful early on in the process and helped me avoid some early pitfalls. Roger was always willing to check out a new listing on my behalf, which was especially helpful because I was not able to leave work during the week. He is very knowledgeable about San Francisco real estate and in spotting places with underappreciated value. I would have been lost without this perspective.
Roger put me in great shape in working with lenders to get my financing "pre-approved" before I started to look at places, and provided me with information every step of the process to put me in great shape to pounce on that perfect place relative to the "competition". After some initial searches,
we decided to add "Tenancy-in-Commons" to my search list after he explained the pros and cons to me. This opened up several new options where I did not have to "line-up" with 20 other people "up-bidding" on the same - overvalued - place.
I cannot say enough about Roger in terms of how he managed the actual transaction - it was absolutely hassle free on my part. I decided to purchase a great, fully restored Edwardian TIC with Roger, and the nature of the transaction was more complex than the norm. Roger worried about every little detail for me, handled things professionally and proactively when things went wrong (i.e., the seller and seller's agent were less than 100% responsive on certain issues), and aggressively protected my interests while at the same time "getting the deal done". I am a transactional attorney and was very impressed with how Roger managed the entire process from start to finish.
Roger is a sincere person, who is extremely good at his job. His focus is 100% on the client. I am extremely happy with my new home - he found me my "perfect place", a "castle" for a relative bargain. Roger will be my real estate agent on the next sale/purchase and I wholeheartedly recommend him to others.

Where do I begin? Roger was the man. We feel so lucky to have found such a knowledgeable and reliable real estate agent. My husband and myself recently bought our first home and Roger's no pressure and trustworthy approach made what is usually extremely exhausting process fun. We had a lot of questions as first time buyers, but he was a great listener and was our greatest advocate. His follow through was flawless. He was extremely resourceful and helped us negotiate the bidding process with great detail and care. We never felt like the process was about him, but always about our needs now and in the future. We love our new home!!!!! We give Roger Landry our highest recommendation.

I've heard so many stories from homebuyers about how stressful buying a home can be. The search, the financing, the bidding, the closing, all is filled with potential stressors. Having someone on your side to guide you through those stressors can not only make the process less stressful, but make it lots of FUN!!!!! We were all over the map in our year long process of buying a home. From a duplex in Oakland, to a short sale in Piedmont, to a ranch in Lafayette, Roger calmly guided us. Roger was extremely patient with us throughout the process. He was ALWAYS available to look at homes. We were often times Bipolar in our home search, falling in and out of love with numerous properties. Rogers’s advice was always extremely useful and sincere. I am, by nature, suspect of sales people, especially when they are paid on commission, but I can say with certainty that Roger ALWAYS had our best interest in mind. He actually gently guided us away from a couple of more expensive properties that we thought we loved (that whole Bipolar thing), which allowed us to find our perfect (and much less expensive) dream home. We bought in a very competitive (sellers) market, and Rogers’s knowledge saved us thousands of dollars. Roger had lots of suggestions to help improve our offer, while still protecting our interests at every step along the way. There are so many nuances to a home purchase, and Roger always had an easily understood answer to all of our questions. I never felt even a hint of pressure. Roger always greeted us with a calm, reassuring, and happy vibe. He developed a great rapport with our two young daughters. Our 2 year old thought Roger was magical, because he could make magic keys fall out of little boxes (lockboxes). I can't ever imagine moving out of our dream home, but if we ever do, I can assure you that we will be using Roger Landry. If you're considering buying a home, use Roger Landry, it's the best "move" you could ever make!!!!

Hello buyers! I just wanted to take a moment to leave a word of praise for our exceptional realtor, Roger Landry. My husband and I were referred to Roger by my sister whom he tirelessly helped to purchase her first home in Berkeley a few years ago. After my sister closed on her new home, she bestowed upon Roger a 2" binder full of all the homes/open houses he had escorted her to over the previous couple of years. My sister was certainly not Rogers biggest client wielding the highest purchasing power, and yet he showed the care and dedication of a true professional in helping her to find the perfect place for her.
Roger is friendly, easy going, and extremely knowledgeable. When it came time for my husband and I to buy our first home in the bay area, we of course called Roger. We were under a time constraint and needed to close on something we loved and quickly, as we were moving from Chicago to the east bay in less than 2 months. We must have looked at 20 homes in one weekend (and 20 the next).
Roger is familiar with all the neighborhoods in SF and the east bay and led our search in the right direction. We found a home we LOVE in North Berkeley and with Rogers help were able to close quickly, as he expertly navigated the closing process. Before we signed off on the final docs, Roger drove out to our new home from his office in SF and did a final walk through to see for himself that everything was in order and that all the fixes we had requested were completed. We were still in Chicago at this time and were not able to make the trip out ourselves. Without us asking him to do so, he completed the final walk through in our stead. Upon finding that the staging company had left a bit of a mess, he had them come back and patch the walls where nails had been and to leave the house clean as a whistle. Even after we closed, I was calling Roger for weeks to ask him questions, "how do I operate the safe?", "who was the gardener?". Things he had no doubt already answered in a multitude of emails. He looked after all the little details that make life easier when moving in to a new home, providing us with operational manuals, etc. that the selling agent did not. I still phone Roger with little questions that I'm sure it's not his job to answer, and he never makes me feel like it's a waste of his time.
Thank you Roger for treating us as you would a friend, and for helping us to find our new home. We love it every single day!

Roger is as good as it gets. After working with a uninspired, passive real estate agent I was introduced to Roger and told he was the kind of "motivated agent" that would help me find the home I was looking for. From day ONE he was driven, creative and singularly focused on finding me opportunities in an extremely difficult seller's market where cash offers were being tossed around with impunity. Roger doesn't just wait for listing to come up, he will hand-stuff stuff envelopes and create mailings to FIND off-market opportunities where they didn't exist before. At the end of the day, I got my dream flat and made a connection with a gentleman I now consider a friend.
Top Qualities: Great Results, Personable, Creative

We worked with Roger on the purchase of a house in San Francisco at a very challenging time for buyers, and can state unequivocally that Roger was absolutely the BEST choice of realtor we could possibly have made. He's experienced, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, communicative, reliable, patient, and just an all-around great guy to work with.
Roger also connected us with a great team of people for financing and title services, and his advice was absolutely invaluable when it came time to write an offer on the home we liked. When our bid was accepted Roger had a number of wise suggestions that helped us get through the transaction with minimal hassle, and also saved us money in the long run.
And Roger's the type of guy to follow up with you and see how things are going even after the paperwork is all signed and you've moved in. Roger really cares about his clients! We plan on calling on him again for future real estate transactions, and will recommend Roger to anyone we know who is looking to buy or sell property in the San Francisco Bay area. We really can't say enough good things about him!

We met Roger in his office a few years back as we roamed around Union Street. At the time, we had no intention to purchase, but was hoping, someday. Roger placed us on his data base and occasionally touched base with us. Our first impression of Roger brought us back to him when we were ready to buy, and that is with no regrets.
We live out of the area and Roger viewed many properties for us that we were interested in. He is very detailed and thorough. His generosity with his time made our lives a lot easier, saving us numerous trips out to SF. We made 4 offers before getting our condo. Roger never pushed us to make an offer. In-fact he usually insisted us to be more conservative. He is very patient and professional. He never appeared frustrated and was always positive and very encouraging.
Roger is very knowledgeable and informative with SF real estate and the laws pertaining to the sale and purchase. He is very articulate and a fabulous negotiator. He is very efficient and organized. He has the talent to make you feel you are his only client. I would highly recommend Roger to represent any of your real estate needs.

Roger is a true professional and all around good guy. he communicates openly, honestly and directly with us as clients, along with his real estate peers and others. The thought of spending most of our hard earned money and savings and investing in a very long term property is an important decision and i wanted to make certain that roger, as our representative, will look after our best interest - and he did. He kept us well informed of our options and his long term experience was apparent during tough negotiations. We love our new home and roger’s diligence and hard work enabled us to choose the perfect home for our family. I have highly recommended Roger to our family and closest friends and would continue to do so.

Way to go Roger!!! Talk about knocking the cover off the ball. I am impressed as a realtor and deeply grateful as a home owner!
We first started looking for a home in the Bay Area in October of 2013. After being unimpressed by the initial handful of Realtors we met during our search, we met Roger at an open house in the Inner Richmond and were cautiously optimistic that he was the one. We were quickly impressed with his extensive knowledge and his long history as a Realtor in the area. Roger is always professional, but more than that, he is a truly genuine guy who always had our best interest in mind. He was able to help us search in both Marin County and San Francisco, and always made time to look into any and every property that caught our eye. He always had the answers to our never ending questions and he has a network of trusted professionals for any questions out of his expertise. Roger helped us submit multiple offers and kept us optimistic despite multiple failed offers. In the end, we found a house that was better than any we had previously looked at and we are now thrilled to own a home. Roger was an all-star throughout the hectic weeks of closing and was always in touch, providing status updates and coordinating the many parties involved. Roger was even able to help us negotiate our offer price down $50,000 due to additional inspections that he recommended! We now recommend Roger to everyone we know!
Have a great week and we will be in touch!

Roger Landry was a pleasure to work with. He has a keen insight to the San Francisco/Bay Area real estate markets and does what is necessary to get the job done. His only priority is providing top notch service to his clients and ensuring every detail, big or small is handled accurately and to their satisfaction.
Roger was very patient and helpful throughout the process of purchasing our multi unit, investment property in the Marina. He showed up to every viewing, every inspection, every meeting and provided many referrals even after the deal closed. He doesn't view each transaction separately and disappear, he is around all the time to help in any way possible and a great source of information. We look forward to working with Roger again

In 2005, Roger Landry helped me buy a TIC Unit which I lived in, in San Francisco. 10 years later, after condo conversion, a few Renters, and thinking it was a good time to sell (2015), I am humbled by a guy who knows the business, makes it fun, and walks you through every aspect of the process (with patience) that you think YOU are an expert in Real Estate.
Buyer side (Highlights):
- Roger took me on 10-12 trips looking at places, just letting me feel out, what I liked about a specific neighborhood. Never pushed or sold any unit, but always had sound opinions from his experience, having lived himself in SF for X years.
- My most memorable moment was his ability to ask other Realtors questions about the unit being considered, but in a way where I could tell he was always protecting my interests and/or getting data that was not being offered.
- In 2005, the SF housing market was a Sellers market, but Roger helped me close at an offer to help me win the deal on a TIC in Pacific Heights which had multiple offers. No regrets in hindsight as 2015 proved to be an even stronger market.
Seller side (Highlights):
- Roger's process was flawless (Staging, painting, flyers, open houses) and let me tell you something, I was traveling quite frequently outside of SF during this time, but it felt like Roger was next door on every phone call I had or email to send. And the process can be emotional. Never once did I get emotional and I attribute that to Roger.
- My most memorable moment, was talking to him and how excited he was when the place got staged and preliminary offers came before it went "live" on MLS. Roger's genuine enthusiasm came from a good place. It was not just monetarily based. You could tell he cared.
- We closed the deal with multiple offers at over $1000/sq. ft
I remember the first time I met this "Realtor" named Roger. Off the bat I knew I had the right guy and it wasn't a personal referral or some Yelp recommendation (non-existent then). I just got lucky. But you don't need luck...you're reading my review:) I know I will keep in touch with Roger
A great guy. Top notch Realtor. A dying breed in the world of Sales.
Give him a call. He's the guy.

Roger invested well over 8 months to help us find a house in the city with little inventory and climbing prices.
I've got to admit we were probably one of his most painful clients and he never waivered.
Initially, he took us through the neighborhoods until we found what we wanted. Next came interior and exterior wants and desires of our home. Once he knew what we wanted, Roger searched the listings, including those that had been withdrawn to determine if he could broker a sale. All in all, Roger got us what we desired in a home.
Throughout the process I found his guidance, knowledge and skills superior. You cannot go wrong with Roger Landry at your side. Thank you Roger we are very happy with our new home!

My wife and I have worked with Roger now for several years. First on the purchase of our condo, and most recently on the listing and sale of that condo and search for a single family home. Every step of the way he was knowledgeable, tireless and most importantly trustworthy. He's not afraid to give honest realistic advice but also listened carefully to our needs and wants. We always knew he had our best interests in forefront. I highly recommend him if you are looking to buy or sell in the Bay Area. Thanks Roger!

I've worked with Roger now on 3 successful escrows and most recently on the sale of my home in Portola. I really can't say enough good things about him as a professional and more importantly, a person. He's been doing SF real estate for going on 20 years now and what I know about him is that there's a very loyal following of clients (including myself) who only think of him when it comes to buying or selling their home. There are many things that make Roger great and one of those is that he's a great communicator. While you're working with Roger you'll regularly hear from him throughout the process, morning, noon, night, whenever there's a meaningful update to share. He's also extremely organized with respect to making sure all the proper forms are signed, disclosed, etc. and makes sure that happens up front to avoid any surprises or fire drills down the road. I've also gotten to know Roger as a great negotiator which has been one of the keys to all of the 3 escrows we've done so far together. In closing, I can't think of a better agent who cares more deeply about the product he's selling / buying, his client relationships (did I mention the birthday phone calls) and leaving a trail of success behind him than Roger and for those reasons and many more. I'm glad to be a part of Team Landry and am already looking forward to our next escrow and closing.

Everyone talks about the horrors of buying in San Francisco, but Roger managed to make the process low stress and enjoyable for my husband and I. He really listened to our priorities, never pushed us in a direction we didn't want to go or over the budget we set, and followed through spectacularly once he found us our home. His attention to detail in the deal negotiation and diligence phase was remarkable. From beginning to end, working with Roger was truly a pleasure, and we can't recommend him highly enough.

We've worked with Roger on three house sales/purchases. It's always a pleasure. For me, Roger's magic is that he makes the hard stuff easy. He's got a winning personality that turns the uncertainty of real estate deals into a relaxing experience. I love his sense of humor, his willingness to be flexible and accommodating, and his efficiency when it comes to getting the paperwork done. We'll call him again when it's time to sell
