Napa County posted its strongest quarter of all time in terms of average home sales price, closing at $793,510 this quarter. This number was an 11 percent improvement over the previous quarter and a 19 percent gain from Q2 2013. Strong competition also led to homes in the wine country experiencing quick turn around times. The average 72 DOM in Napa County was 36 percent faster than in Q1 2014 and 12 percent faster than Q2 2013.
As for sales volume, the 344 homes sold was a relatively stable number in comparison with the 355 sold one year ago. Still, inventory remains extremely tight in a market which many priced-out San Francisco home seekers have turned to.
