Marin is known for its great schools. Whether its Sun Valley Elementary, or one of the many others, Marin schools fare well in the state. Their test score rankings are high among public schools. Plus the area boasts many top-notch private schools.
One of those is Marin Academy. It is one of the highest ranked and most competitive private high schools in the Bay Area. With an average class size of 15 and a student teacher ratio of 8:1, MA is known for nurturing well-prepared and well-rounded students.
The admissions process for MA starts in January and decisions are posted online in March. For those students that receive the green light, often their families embark on a quest to find a house near the school.
There is a pair of my clients that are no different. Several years ago when one of their daughters was accepted to MA, they aimed to find a home for their family on the West edge of San Rafael.
Their focus was on the Forbes and Sun Valley neighborhoods: close to downtown but quiet, walking distance to MA, and an easy commute to Highway 101. But more than that, the area had the sense of community they desired.
Well, they found what they work looking for in 11 Eye Street in San Rafael. A quality craftsman home on a tree lined street, with space, comfort and style that met the needs of their family.
My clients happily made Eye Street their home for many years, raising their children and becoming part of the community. It was the right home, the right location, and the right school for them.
Now that their children are grown and moved on, my clients are placing their home on the market in order to explore the next chapter of their lives. This provides another family the chance to call 11 Eye Street home.
