Throughout last year, we enjoyed new releases from bands and artists in every genre — and they’ve just kept coming in 2018! That means the summer months are bringing reunion tours, new album tours and historic musical events to cities around the globe. And, as a hub of culture and art, you know these tours will be stopping in the Bay Area.
To help fill your summer with music, we put together a round-up of epic proportions. Featuring a concert for every week of the summer (with a few extra weeks thrown in, too), these are just a handful of this season’s can’t-miss music events. June 1 | The Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley | Event info + tickets
Singer, songwriter and crooner Ray LaMontagne is swinging through Berkeley this summer on his international tour. In promotion of his seventh studio album, Part of the Light, there will be plenty of new sounds and classic songs to enjoy at this can’t-miss show.

Turnpike Troubadours put on an amazing show no matter where they play, so when they come to The Fillmore on June 8th, you know you’re in for a treat. With special guest, Charley Crockett, this tour follows the release of their fourth album, A Long Way from Your Heart, released last year.

Following the release of Gemini in 2017, Macklemore and Kesha teamed up to put on huge, stadium concerts all over the world. More like a party than a concert, this show is sure to sell out!

Releasing just one month before his San Francisco show, Frank Turner is touring the world to celebrate his seventh studio album, Be More Kind. His music and live shows promise honest songwriting and spectacular folk sound.

Trampled by Turtles will release their first record in four years, Life is Good on the Open Road, on May 4th. Then, they’ll hit Oakland to share their signature sound of folky, modern bluegrass.

In 2018, Vans Warped Tour is embarking on its final, full, cross-country tour. Featuring a lineup of some of Warped Tour’s best veterans, you can see 3OH!3, Mayday Parade, We the Kings, All Time Low, Simple Plan, and 50 other bands across six stages in Mountain View.

Released in April of this year, Gin Wigmore’s fourth studio album, Ivory, features songs that showcase her growth as both a songwriter and a musician — all performed in her one-of-a-kind voice. She’s coming to San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall this summer!

Dead & Company is a band made up of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann, along with John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge and Fare Thee Well, and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. Throughout summer 2018, they’re hitting stadiums across the country, including Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View!

Sylvan Esso’s sophomore album, What Now, released last year and shows off the duo’s bold production, intense vocals and infectious melodies. Join the fun this July to celebrate what is being called this band’s best work to date.

As one-fifth of One Direction, Niall Horan was one of the group’s more prolific songwriters. In 2017, he released his debut solo album and proved his lyrics and guitar playing can stand alone.
