Oakland’s Aloha Club is a 100-year-old, family-run restaurant and bar. From their Fruitvale location just one block from the neighborhood BART station, they offer an old school bar atmosphere complete with Oakland’s longest bar, a beautiful outdoor patio, fresh mojitos, drink specials, a jukebox, a pool table and plenty of TVs so you can catch the game.

The motto at The Athletic Club is, “Every sport, every game, every time.” And they mean it. Here, you can catch UFC fights, UEFA Champions League matches, NHL hockey games, college basketball playoffs and NBA games, NFL games and more. Seating is available at low tables, high tables, communal tables, bleachers, a 20 seat bar and reservation-only booths to accommodate larger parties. Fort Green is a local spot where you can watch the game, play your own game and refuel with artisanally prepared pub foods. That menu includes made-to-order pizzas, hot sandwiches and chicken wings all made with local ingredients whenever possible. Grand Oaks opened in 1988 and quickly became a neighborhood favorite here in Oakland. The friendly atmosphere is complete with great food, a full bar and televisions on every wall. In addition to playing Warriors and Athletics games, they also have NFL Sunday Ticket so you can catch every professional football game in their dining room.

Hometown Heroes

Hometown Heroes is a Bay Area institution that began in South San Francisco. In 2018, they added a second location in Emeryville and brought their signature sports bar style to the East Bay. Almost every single night of the week, you can come in and catch a game on the big screens, and you can always order up a plate of upscale, pub-inspired eats. The menu includes items like The Kobe Beef Burger, the Fried Chicken Sandwich made with free range chicken breast and an impressive lineup of signature cocktails.

The Kingfish Pub & Cafe

This Temescal bar has a history that dates all the way back to 1922 when the building opened as a bait shop. Heavy with Oakland heritage, The Kingfish offers shuffleboard, local draft beers, a diverse jukebox, a patio bar, free, freshly popped popcorn and plenty of TVs playing A’s, Raiders, Warriors and Cal Bears games. Food is available from neighboring restaurant, Red Sea, and well-behaved dogs are welcome, too!

Here, they also host watch parties for big sporting events, including basketball games, football and UFC match-ups. When you need a break from the game, you can play a game of pinball or refill your craft cocktail.

Located at 135 12th Street between Madison and Oak, Mad Oak is a chill hangout that offers 40 craft beers on tap, cocktails, a legendary patio and a rooftop deck. Both indoors and out, you can watch the game on flat-screen TVs and projection screens with plenty of fellow Warriors, Athletics and Raiders fans around to help cheer. The biggest parties happen when they have the sound on for local team games, post-season games and big events like the Super Bowl. For other games, they don’t have the sound on, but you can still watch all the action.

Make Westing perfectly combines a neighborhood bar with an upscale cocktail lounge and, during Warriors game day, a sports bar. Their stylish space offers ten beers on tap, even more bottles, signature cocktails, wine, snacks and sandwiches, and two indoor bocce ball courts that are free to play. On game day, they pull down the screen and show the game via a projector so you can catch every moment of the action.

Ricky’s Sports Theatre & Grill

Located just minutes from the heart of Oakland in San Leandro, you’ll find Ricky’s Sports Theatre & Grill, otherwise known as the flagship gathering spot of Raider Nation. With a history that goes back several decades, Ricky’s has hosted Super Bowl parties, NFL watch parties and even actual Raiders players. With more than 90 screens, you can even catch a touchdown during bathroom breaks.
