Your Ultimate Guide to Farmers’ Markets in Marin County

The Bay Area is famous for a lot of things, and some of our favorites include farm-to-table restaurants and food festivals. Farmers’ markets just happen to combine both of those things. And, thanks to our year-round bounties of local produce, meat and seafood, we get to enjoy these community events all year long!

Corte Madera Farmers’ Market | Corte Madera

The organization, Marin Community Farmers Markets, was founded in 1998 to take over the Corte Madera Farmers Market and has since grown to include three total markets. Downtown Novato Community Farmers’ Market | Novato

This seasonal market pops up behind CVS and beside Lee Garner Park in Downtown Novato from May through September. Downtown San Rafael Market | San Rafael

The Farm Stand at Forest Knolls | Forest Knolls

The Farm Stand at Forest Knolls is a year-round, rain or shine farm stand that makes farmers’ market goods even more accessible in our communities. The Farmers’ Market at Marin Country Mart | Larkspur

Farmers Markets in Marin County California

Marin Country Mart is a shopping village featuring a curated collection of organic eateries, unique shops, boutique fitness options and an array of services, including more than 500 free events per year. One of those year-round events is the farmers’ market, which pops up every Saturday and is complete with face painting, live music, kid-friendly crafts, pony rides and a petting zoo!

Mill Valley Farmers’ Market | Mill Valley

Hosted by the Agricultural Institute of Marin, the Sunday Marin Farmers’ Market first opened in 1987 and has grown to become the third-largest market in California. Complete with free parking and a family-friendly atmosphere, you can shop fresh-cut flowers, breads and baked goods, local seafood and grass-fed meat, honey, artisan crafts, and even pet food! Thursday Marin Civic Center Farmers’ Market | San Rafael

The Thursday Marin Farmers’ Market is known as the local chef’s market and is one of the most anticipated lunch destinations of the week in San Rafael. Including things like locally harvested produce, local seafood, grass-fed meat, artisan goods, honey and even coffee, the vendor lineup features 100 local farmers, specialty food purveyors and a handful of artisans.
