Caffeine Buzz in Marin

It seems that grabbing a cup of coffee, cappuccino or tea in Marin County these days is as easy as stopping the car.
Whether you are in Corte Madera, where you are given the choice of Peet’s, Starbucks or Tully’s, or in Sausalito where you might choose Fred’s Coffee Shop, it seems that we’ve got it made.
These various roasters offer a variety of services that can include:
- A complete lunch (Emporio Rulli in Larkspur, Cibo in Sausalito)
- Free wi-fi (Starbucks in Sausalito, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Larkspur, Marin City, Novato, San Rafael)
- Terrific and eclectic atmospheres to meet a friend (Marin Coffee Roasters in San Anselmo, LaCoppa Coffee AKA Bonavita Coffee & Tea in Mill Valley, Taste of Rome, formerly Caffe Trieste, in Sausalito, Fairfax Coffee Roastery and, of course, The Depot Café in Mill Valley).
Recently I read that Peet’s Coffee is in the process of opening a new store in the old Northpoint Coffee Company location on Bridgeway in Sausalito. This would truly be an accomplishment because Sausalito in the past has not allowed “chain businesses” on their waterfront.
Whether on a bicycle, foot or in a car, for those of us who like a jolt now and again look no further than Marin County.
