Real estate is as much about people as it is about facts and figures. That’s my approach. While “location, location, location” may be the most important factor in the selection of real estate, good communication is the most important factor in the completion of a transaction. I make a point of understanding the parties as well as the property. I listen carefully to my clients and to the other people involved in a transaction. My strategy is to leverage my client’s time and not to waste it. I negotiate with my client’s best interests uppermost in my mind, but with respect for the other party as well. It is only through mutual respect and trust between the parties that a successful transaction can occur. It’s important to know that I measure success not just by the close of escrow, but also by the satisfaction of both buyer and seller for years to come.

My academic and professional backgrounds have been great preparation for what I do today. I learned negotiation skills in my real estate law practice at a prominent downtown law firm. After obtaining my JD degree, I spent years working on behalf of clients who had many millions of dollars at stake. I learned the practical side of real estate finance working for a highly successful commercial real estate development company on Sand Hill Road. It was there that I had the opportunity to put into practice my MBA courses at The University of Chicago Graduate Booth School of Business. I learned the nuances of taxation and earned a CPA certificate during my tenure at Coopers & Lybrand (a predecessor to PriceWaterhouseCoopers). I have 15 years of marketing and sales experience as a real estate broker.

The important criteria for selecting a real estate agent are not all susceptible to being cataloged on a resume. Many performance benchmarks are too intangible for standard tabulation. Critical to the hiring decision are references from previous clients, reputation in the community, and face-to-face interaction. For the first two, I recommend that you review my LinkedIn page. On it, you will see my affiliations and descriptions of what people think of me professionally. As to judging personal chemistry, I ask you to contact me for a meeting. If you do, I have confidence that you will want me to represent you.

You can reach me 24/7. If you don’t find me on the job, you may find me skiing or snowboarding the Sierras, hiking or biking Mt. Tam, or attending a planning commission meeting.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
