Robert was born and raised in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. He attended Keystone College in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. In 1975 he re-located to San Francisco, where he attended San Francisco State University. Robert has lived in The City for the past 30 years — more than 20 of those years in the Richmond district. He considers himself “lucky to live in one of the most desirable cities” and loves to share all it has to offer with others.

For many years Robert worked in customer service in a variety of San Francisco’s hot spots. In 1990 he co-created, owned, and operated the wildly popular “Ella’s Restaurant on Presidio Avenue. After more than 11 years of service at Ella’s, Robert retired from the restaurant world. He went on to study broadcast journalism and worked as a news writer for CBS 5 in San Francisco. As a member of the highly rated Weekend Early Edition on CBS 5, Robert was nominated for an Emmy Award for news writing. Robert has also served on the advisory board for Burt Children’s Center here in San Francisco, a facility that provides care for severely emotionally disadvantaged children.

Robert is an avid water enthusiast. He enjoys both pool and open ocean activities such as surfing, swimming, and snorkeling.
