QUESTION: Do you know if the area around Central Park in San Mateo is a good area with good values? It seems borderline - nice condos west of El Camino on one side, and railroad/east San Mateo on the other. Thoughts?

My husband and I would like to buy a house and rent out our condo. We can put down 5% and both have over 750 credit scores. Our income is pretty high but we’re worried we won’t qualify because of our first loan. I understand some lenders used to count 75% rental income towards your income but not anymore. QUESTION: Are Lending Practices Changing Almost Every Week?

Example: 2 of my closings this year were FHA loans. Neither required termite (section 1) clearance. Things changed on April 1st.
