As General Counsel and General Manager of McGuire Real Estate, Abbie holds more than a decade of real estate experience from many facets of the industry. Her extensive, and equally impressive, background ranges from her roles as: Head Broker, Sales Leader and Manager, Director of Business Development, Top Producing Sales Associate, as well as a Prosecutor/Criminal Trial Attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.

Abbie began her real estate career in 2000 as the Director of Business Development at ZipRealty, where she developed partnerships focused on lead generation for the brokerage and its agents. It was there that Abbie gained deep insight into what consumers want by way of real estate information, and need by way of agent representation when buying or selling a home.

Abbie put theory into practice when she obtained her Real Estate Broker’s License in 2002 and began selling real estate on the Peninsula. In only two years, she earned her designation as Top Producer in 2004. Abbie has continued to represent buyers and sellers ever since—with a particular focus and expertise in the areas of Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and surrounding communities.

In 2006, Abbie took the reins as Head Broker overseeing ZipRealty’s brokers and real estate transactions in 42 markets across the U.S. As Head Broker, Abbie was responsible for real estate compliance, agent development, and transaction oversight. She also served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of REALTORS® from 2010–2011.

Abbie launched the California Division of 8z Real Estate, a Colorado-based brokerage which found rapid success based upon its dedicated agent service with deep local market expertise, in 2012. As the Sales Leader and Manager of its California Division, she led herself and her team to success through a combination of expert market knowledge, outstanding service, and a commitment to integrity throughout the entire transactional process.

Abbie’s expertise in client representation, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and an understanding of the law was built while serving as Prosecutor/Criminal Trial Attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office from 1992–2000. Serving under District Attorney, John Meehan and District Attorney, Tom Orloff, Abbie was responsible for prosecuting cases that ranged from narcotics, assault, robbery, and homicide. During her time there she conducted numerous preliminary hearings, law and motion matters, and managed the Hayward Superior Courthouse Misdemeanor Trial Team.

Outside of real estate, Abbie most enjoys cheering on her sons at their baseball and basketball games, taking her beloved Golden Doodle on long walks, reading and traveling.
